Hi! I’m Katharina.
With a rich background working for prominent global brands such as Levi’s, Mattel, eBay, PayPal, Nature Made, and notable tech start-ups like Lookout and Sift, I take pride in delivering exceptional design solutions that captivate audiences and yield impactful results.
Born and raised in Germany, I relocated to the Bay Area in 1996. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from San Jose State University, my professional journey started at the boutique design studio Barretto-Co, where I played a vital part in creating brand identities, developing layout designs for publications, contributing to environmental designs and helping to shape strategic marketing communications.
In 2010, I joined Silverlign (later eBay Enterprise Marketing Solutions), making significant contributions to crafting distinctive brand experiences across digital and print media. Specializing in eCommerce strategy and design, I spent nearly three years leading monthly updates and seasonal campaigns for levi.com. Later, as a Senior Art Director, I collaborated with many creatives, developers and account managers on brands such as Mattel, eBay and PayPal.
After gaining valuable experience from working in various agencies, I shifted to in-house roles, focused on tech start-ups, actively contributing to the development of brand experiences. Over the last eight years, I have served as both an associate and a creative director for multiple start-ups in the fraud detection and security sector. Drawing on my unique cultural perspective and extensive experience, I infuse international influences into my creative approach.
